1. By using this site you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms you may not use this site. www.thevillagedepot.co.uk reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter or update these terms and conditions and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations or updates on subsequent visits. By specifying The Village Depot as the delivery address for purchases placed with chosen Retailers or Suppliers you are electing to become a Customer of The Village Depot and accept these terms and conditions.
2. The Customer will supply to The Village Depot by email or telephone the information shown in the Order Process when placing an order to be delivered to The Village Depot.
3. The Village Depot is not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by telephone and therefore email is recommended.
4. The Village Depot will sign for and keep secure deliveries on behalf the Customer and shall assume no responsibility for the condition, accuracy or any other aspect of the delivery.
5. The Village Depot will not accept deliveries from suppliers requiring payment of cash at time of delivery.
6. Deliveries will be stored at usual household temperatures and therefore the service is not suitable for items requiring special storage facilities such as refrigeration.
7. The Village Depot will alert the Customer on the day their delivery is received using either email, text or telephone message as specified by the Customer.
8. The Village Depot is not responsible for the successful receipt of emails or text messages.
9. The Customer is responsible for contacting The Village Depot if an alert has not been received when the delivery is expected.
10. Customers agree to pay in cash on collection of items from or delivery of items by The Village Depot according to the Pricing detailed on this site, accessed from the main menu.
11. One item is one package in one order from one supplier. If a single item order from one supplier consists of more than one package then number of items charged will depend on overall dimensions and weight. Items on separate orders and/or from separate suppliers will be charged as separate items.
12. On payment by the Customer, The Village Depot will surrender the relevant delivery or deliveries and issue a receipt of payment and a Customer Number for new Customers.
13. The Village Depot will surrender deliveries only where proof of the order is supplied together with the order number provided by The Village Depot.
14. Deliveries collected from The Village Depot must be physically removed by person or persons collecting.
15. The Village Depot reserves the right to refuse to receive deliveries including but not limited to items specified under Restrictions on the main menu of this site.
16. The Village Depot reserves the right to dispose of deliveries after 28 days, day 1 being the day of delivery.
17. The Village Depot will deliver within a 3 mile radius only of The Village Depot address specified in Contact Us on the main menu of this site.
18. The Village Depot will not pass Customer details to any 3rd party unless directly in connection with completing a successful receipt of the delivery or deliveries by The Village Depot and onwards delivery to the Customer where applicable. |
